I’m a bit stumped. I currently use the pickle jar cleaning method - which is messy and probably not good for my health. I’m looking to invest in a good automated cleaning station to get rid of all that. However here you state that this system works best only after you’ve first cleaned your prints in a pickle jar! WTF?!

This appears to have a single linear rail, not dual like the saturn.

good honest review of the 5. im not liking the new build plate they have on this and the Saturn 4. its just another faf that seems unnecessary, and even more so if its causing more compression issues. im going to stick with my mars 4 max for now. I think it would be useful for a 'compression guide for dummies' from you as you have a knack for no nonsense explanation and maybe if possible a way to help reduce this.

im considering to buy a p1s , first i looked at the a1 but its a open bed slinger and i have kisd n´ cats , thats why i have my actual printer sv07(and all my others befor) in a cabinet, and thats the next problem normal bedsliinger are not designed to put them in a cabinet or any type of full enclosure, cause they fckn overheat . most times i have 80+ degrees on mcu and 85+ on rPi . so my choice comes to p1s , i can put them where i want and get rid of my bulky cabinet .

Your suggestion about increasing exposure times for the supports is an interesting one, but would require the printer in question to use a proprietary slicing software, as current slicers don't differentiate between what is the "model" and what is "support structure". Each layer would have to be split into two component typs, which current softwares do not support. Probably wouldn't be too difficult, but that software would be the only one you could use for that printer.

pogo pins and compression pins are pretty reliable. You're more likely to have a fault in a screw terminal than any thing like this. I have some metal buttons, just thin nickel domes, and the spec sheet rates them for 1 million flexes. In control panels for industrial equipment they use similar buttons for number pads, but normally rated for an order of magnitude more. The unfortunate reality is "serviceable" hardware is often (*not always) unreliable.

I’d really love to see a home poly jet 3d printer without the color. Honestly if you could find a budget way to have a second resin injection for support that is cheap. The secondary support resin material would be a world changer for home printing. Granted poly jet printing is is still different process to SLA.

I wonder if Hero forge uses this, they recently launched a full color print service

I saw a tiktok for this printer and now this video and now I'm considering one just after a month of a resin 3D printer for the stuff that can't be done there for Warhammer.

Have a Mars 2, that I didn't use for some time now. But getting back to 3d printing right now and preordered the Saturn 4 ultra. I guess I can expect a plus in quality compared to the mars 2 here?

What profile did you use to print at 0.06? Did you have to change the nozzle or did you use the stock nozzle?

🤣Future? Yeah once the patents run out (that's plural for each unique feature) and you'll be more grey than you are now... Stratasys had the patent for the heated enclosure for FDM printers...everyone else had to wait...

I’d really like to see the voxels in the advertising and have it equal dimensional pixels length by width μm, but height doesn’t necessarily need equal but should be less for adjusting layer height for accuracy. When you have 19μmx24μm flat dimensional resolution you have 25% difference. I’d much rather se a 19μmx21μm at 10% difference I feel it would skew the accuracy of the print at some point.

I got mine today, what really sucks is how to Power on that thing... You got all this Remote/Cloud Stuff, Autofill and so on, that you would think "Hey I can just remotly start my printing" but no some really smart Dude was thinking "Hey lets put in a Power Switch and and second Button into that Machine, that you have to press every time you want to start it"... So you still need to go to the Printer if you want to print something (unless you willingly to leave the thing powered on all the time, with loud fans and probably high power consumption), and no it doesn't have some kind of standby Mode after you started it, its allways running full with Fans at 100%. Funny thing, if you turn the power switch on or connect a power cable to it with power switch on it instantly turns on the Fans at 100% but you can't do anything until you press the Start Button on the Front... what a stupid Design... Apart from that, the printer seems to be quite good, but that just annoys me. EDIT: Ok the power consumption, when not printing, is only about 11,5W, but still to much to leave it on 24/7 to remotely start a print.
